Addictions

Today I watched a show about people with addictions - shopping, sex, internet, drugs, and others. Many in our society struggle with these issues. Everybody knows or has heard about someone who is afflicted. It's an obstacle that seems like an insurmountable mountain. Some succeed in trying to control it, while others die or endure it their whole lives. God loves us all. He has given us the gift of free will, and with that power comes responsibility and consequences. It reminds me that everyone of us are sinners, no one is above reproach. However, the Lord is always with you even if you find yourself defeated. Regardless of what happens, if you have faith and place your trust in Him you're saved. God, I pray that you comfort those in need and thank you for loving us. Amen.
